The online Orientation and Sensitization Session for nominated SDG Focal Points and SDG Assistant Officers in Provincial Councils was successfully conducted on 17 June 2026

Recognizing the importance of strengthening SDG implementation, monitoring, and reporting at the provincial level, the Sustainable Development Council has established a coordination mechanism with nominated SDG Focal Points.

As a first step, an online orientation and sensitization session for nominated SDG Focal Points and SDG Assistant Officers was successfully conducted on 17 June 2026. This initiative aims to enhance their understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Sri Lanka’s Third Voluntary National Review (VNR) for 2026/2027.
