The Sustainable Development Council (SDC), in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), successfully concluded a System Training on the Migration & SDGs Monitoring Platform (MSMP) on 4th November 2025.
Following the successful Stakeholder Consultation held earlier in September 2025, this training session was primarily designed for data focal points to familiarize them with the platform’s features and functionalities. The training session included a comprehensive system demonstration and portal overview, guiding participants through dashboard navigation and the use of GCM icons and dashboard features. It also covered the roles and functionalities of administrators and custodians, along with practical guidance on user creation, email registration, and an overview of the MSMP platform’s mobile responsiveness.
The session also provided an opportunity for participants to review and share their feedback on the graphical representation of data, its features, and any additional suggestions for improvement.
The session was attended by data focal officers representing various government agencies that generate migration-related data as well as members of the Inter-Agency Committee, appointed to provide strategic guidance for the development of the MSMP platform.
The MSMP platform is expected to be launched in mid-November 2025. It will serve as a trilingual, centralized digital portal for monitoring, analyzing and reporting migration data in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Global Compact for Migration (GCM) objectives.
