We bid a heartfelt farewell to Mr. Mahinda Siriwardana, the outgoing Chairman of the Sustainable Development Council, who has served since June 2022. During a time of unprecedented economic crisis in Sri Lanka, his steady leadership and strategic direction were instrumental in advancing economic stabilization and sustainable development. His thoughtful management of public finances helped lay a strong foundation for the country’s recovery and resilience, earning recognition as a global case study for navigating economic challenges.

As he steps into his new role as Alternate Executive Director of Asian Development Bank, we extend our warmest wishes and deepest gratitude for his exemplary service. We are confident that he will continue to contribute meaningfully to further strengthening Sri Lanka’s economy while also supporting the development of the entire region.
