We successfully hosted the third session of the Knowledge Session Series on “Exploring Blended Finance Archetypes: Structuring Approaches, Instruments and Global Success Stories” with experts on innovative financing from the Convergence- The Global Network for Blended Finance.

The session aimed to deepen understanding of core blended finance structures (archetypes) and how they address specific financing challenges; to examine real-world case studies from Asia and globally that are relevant to Sri Lanka’s sectoral priorities; and to facilitate practical reflection on how these structures could be adapted to the Sri Lankan context.

The expert presentations were delivered by Ritesh Thakkar, Senior Advisor and Head of Asia Pacific, Convergence Blended Finance and Neil Bose, Senior Associate, Asia Pacific - Convergence Blended Finance.

The session was attended by members of the Blended Finance Working Group, which include representatives from key government institutions such as the Department of National Planning, Department of Development Finance, Department of External Resources, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Board of Investment, Ministry of Environment, and private sector representatives from the Sri Lanka Banks’ Association, Finance Houses Association of Sri Lanka.

The Session was moderated by the Director General of Sustainable Development Council, Chamindry Saparamadu and Adheesha Perera, Core-Group Member, SLBA Sustainable Banking Initiative.
